February Business Breakfast

Last Friday, we were thrilled to kick off the return of our Business Breakfast Series, in partnership with Port of Cork. The event, held at the Cobh Heritage Centre, provided those in attendance a delightful breakfast from the Kilkenny Café.

Guest speaker, Jim Meade, Chief Executive of Iarnród Éireann, provided an overview of forthcoming plans for the Cork Area Commuter Rail and beyond. Sharing Irish Rail's vision for rail to become the backbone of a sustainable transport system.

Johanna Murphy, Chair of the Energy and Infrastructure Committee, spoke on the future of offshore renewable energy and what that means for Cobh. We were also delighted to have local business owner Ellen O'Driscoll of Ellen's Kitchen as our spotlight member.
